Trading futures, options, forex, and other leveraged products involves substantial risk of loss and is not suitable for everyone. You can lose more than your initial deposit. Most people who attempt day trading lose money. Only risk capital — money you can afford to lose without changing your life — should ever be used for trading. Nothing on this site is a promise that you will make money.
1. What West Peak Trading is — and isn't
The Sales Guys LLC, doing business as West Peak Trading ("West Peak Trading," "we," "us"), is an education company. We teach a process for day trading as a skill. We are not a broker‑dealer, futures commission merchant, introducing broker, commodity trading advisor, investment adviser, or funded‑account provider, and we are not registered with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), the National Futures Association (NFA), FINRA, or any state regulator. We do not manage money, hold customer funds, execute trades, or give individualized advice. Every trade you take is your own decision, in your own account, at your own risk.
2. Nothing here is a recommendation
Our modules, live sessions, chart markups, trade breakdowns, coaching calls, and community discussions describe how we think about markets and how we execute our own process. They are general educational information. They are not a recommendation or solicitation to buy or sell any futures contract, security, option, currency, or other instrument, and they are not tailored to your financial situation, objectives, or risk tolerance. Before you trade, consider consulting a licensed financial professional who knows your circumstances.
3. Risks specific to futures and day trading
- Leverage. Futures are traded on margin. A small price move can produce a large gain or loss relative to the money in your account, and you can lose more than you deposited. Your broker may liquidate your positions without notice if your margin is insufficient.
- Speed and frequency. Day trading involves frequent decisions under time pressure. Mistakes compound quickly, and commissions, fees, and slippage add up with every trade.
- Volatility and gaps. Markets can move sharply, gap through your stop level, or become illiquid, so a stop‑loss order does not guarantee a limited loss.
- Technology. Platform outages, connectivity failures, and data errors can prevent you from entering or exiting positions when you intend to.
- Psychology. Fear, greed, revenge trading, and overconfidence cause most large losses. A "maximum loss" rule only works if you follow it.
- Taxes and regulation. Trading has tax consequences and, depending on your account type and jurisdiction, may be subject to rules such as pattern‑day‑trader requirements. We don't give tax or legal advice.
4. Simulated and hypothetical results
The Free Program starts you on a trading simulator, and some examples we show are hypothetical or simulated. Simulated results have inherent limitations. Unlike an actual performance record, they don't reflect real trading and may not account for slippage, liquidity, fees, or the emotional impact of risking real money. No representation is being made that any account will or is likely to achieve profits or losses similar to those shown. Trading well on a simulator does not mean you will trade well with real money.
5. Past performance and testimonials
Past performance — ours, our coaches', or any student's — is not indicative of future results. Any results, screenshots, or figures shown on the Site or in our content are illustrative only, are not typical, and are not a guarantee of what you will earn. Testimonials reflect the experience of specific individuals; your experience will depend on your capital, your discipline, the time you put in, market conditions, and your own decisions. We have not verified and do not audit student results. Some people we've taught have lost money.
6. Funded‑account ("prop firm") programs
Some of our content discusses funded‑account evaluation programs, in which a third‑party firm lets traders who pass an evaluation trade a simulated or firm‑funded account for a share of profits. Please understand:
- These programs are run by third parties we don't own or control. Their fees, rules, drawdown limits, consistency rules, payout policies, and availability are set by them and can change at any time.
- Evaluations typically charge a fee, and most participants do not pass. Fees paid for evaluations are generally not refundable and are money you can lose.
- Passing an evaluation does not guarantee a payout, ongoing funding, or income. Firms can deny or claw back payouts under their rules, and some firms have failed or stopped paying.
- Many "funded" accounts are simulated accounts; the firm, not a live market, is the counterparty.
- West Peak Trading does not guarantee that you will pass any evaluation or receive any funding. [If applicable: We may receive a referral fee when you sign up with certain platforms through our links. This does not change the price you pay, and it does not mean we endorse that platform.]
7. Free program and paid coaching
Joining the free Day Trading Starter System does not obligate you to buy anything. If you later purchase paid coaching, you are paying for education and time with a coach, not for a result. Coaching does not change the risks described here and does not guarantee profitability.
8. Your responsibility
By using our Site, content, community, or coaching you confirm that you have read and understood this Risk Disclosure; that you are solely responsible for your trading decisions and any resulting losses; that you will only trade with money you can afford to lose; and that you will not hold West Peak Trading or its coaches responsible for the outcome of any trade. This Risk Disclosure is part of our Terms & Conditions.
